5 benefits of Vision Boarding

'Really Julia', you might say! 'Another of those mindful jobs to do? WHY?'


Why do we vision board? Is it really necessary to get glue stick and scissors out and play kindergarten? YES, evidence is crystal clear. What we focus on grows. The become clear on your wishes, dreams, desires and wants pulls you forward, motivates and gives your subconscious mind direction. With your vision board as a visual anchor, it is like being on the overtaking lane on the German Autobahn. Once done, you have positioned yourself on that lane and so it is. And so it is. You can trust the universe, greater energies and your subconscious mind to manifest.

I find it useful to think about the way you want to display your vision board. Are you a crafty person and like to tear out quotes, images and words from magazines. Go ahead. PLAY, give it a GO. Your vision board might look stylish, arty-messy, colourful or simplistic, FULL or minimalistic......that's cool, all fine. They are yours. Unique and special, like you. It is your heart and soul on paper. Be proud of it and keep it sacred. I also quite like to collect on Pinterest and I found this by spiritual teacher Deepak Chopra, nice inspiration.


Visualization is one of the most powerful mind exercises you can express.

According to the popular book The Secret, “The law of attraction is forming your entire life experience and it is doing that through your thoughts. When you are visualizing, you are emitting a powerful frequency out into the Universe.”

DREAM MIGHTY Go ahead and envision your next year. Make sure you give yourself permission to dream big. Just imagine those dreams come true, make sure they are the right size.

  • Bring Happiness into your life.

  • Find out what really lights you up.

  • This is your life. Make the most of the here and now.

  • Plant good quality seeds now.

Put your highest, most relevant FEELINGS onto your Vision board.

CHANGE and New Year Resolutions If you want to change a behaviour and change a pattern, give yourself a manageable small step approach. One step at a time, that is progress too! And remember giving yourself the task to change a habit, will feel awkward at is a bit like when you brush your teeth with the 'wrong' hand. Feels strange right?
